Ports are vital to global trade and the economic growth. However, they also significantly impact the environment, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, water and air pollution, and biodiversity. In this presentation we will discuss a real-life case study of the Port of Detroit to show how Port Decarbonisation strategies can be implemented to make a real difference. Additionally, discussing how biodiversity assessments can be carried out to optimise land use and improve operational efficiency of supply chains to enhance biodiversity within ports.
